“WHAT IS GOD REQUESTING”
Deuteronomy 6: 5-7.
5 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. 6 And these words that I am commanding you today shall be upon your heart; 7 and you shall repeat them to your children, and you shall speak of them when you are at home, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you get up.
Matthew 22: 37-39
37 Jesus said to him: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is similar: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 37 Jesus said to him: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is similar: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Proverbs 6: 16-19
16 Six things the LORD hates,
And even seven abominates his soul:
17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
The hands shedding innocent blood,
18 The heart that devises wicked thoughts,
The hasty feet to run to evil,
19 The false witness who speaks lies,
And the one who sows discord between brothers.
Isaiah 1:18
18 Come soon, saith the Lord, and let us be aware: if your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; if they are red like crimson, they will be like white wool.
1 John 2: 1-6
1. My little children, these things I write to you so that you do not sin; And if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins; and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world. 3 And by this we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He who says: I know him, and does not keep his commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5 But whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected; by this we know that we are in it. 6 He who says he remains in him must walk as he walked.
1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Micah 6:8.
“8 O man, he has declared to you what is good, and what the Lord asks of you: only do justice, and love mercy, and humble yourself before your God.”
Hebrews 3:15
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today if you hear his voice, Do not harden your hearts, As in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the desert, Where your fathers tempted me; they tried me, and saw my works forty years. Because of which I was angry with that generation, And I said: They are always wandering in his heart, And they have not known my ways. Therefore I have sworn in my wrath: They shall not enter my rest. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief to depart from the living God; but exhort each other every day, as long as it is said: Today; so that none of you may be hardened by the deception of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ, provided that we hold firm to the end our confidence from the beginning, while it is said: Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation. Who were those who, having heard, provoked? Was it not all those who came out of Egypt by the hand of Moses? Who was he mad at for forty years? Was he not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert? And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who disobeyed? And we see that they could not enter because of unbelief.
Psalms 82.2-4
2 How long will you judge unjustly,
And will you accept the persons of the wicked? selah
3 Defend the weak and the fatherless;
Give justice to the afflicted and the needy.
4 Deliver the afflicted and the needy;
Deliver him from the hand of the wicked.
Zechariah 7:9-10
9 Thus spoke the Lord of hosts, saying, Judge true justice, and show mercy and mercy each one to his brother:
10 Do not offend the widow, or the orphan, or the foreigner, or the poor; nor let any think evil in his heart against his brother.
Isaiah 58:6-7
6 Is it not rather the fast that I have chosen, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, loosen the burdens of oppression, and let the broken go free, and break every yoke?
7 Is it not that you break your bread with the hungry, and shelter the poor wandering at home; that when you see the naked, you cover him, and do not hide from your brother?
Isaiah 57:15
15 For thus said the High and Sublime, who dwells in eternity, and whose name is Holy: I dwell in height and holiness, and with the broken and humble of spirit, to make alive the spirit of the humble, and to quicken the hearts of the broken.
Psalm 24:4-6
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart;
He who has not lifted up his soul to vain things,
